HOW TO FIND YOUR PEOPLE
Everyone needs a tribe. But sometimes it can be a little tough to find the people that align with your interests, morals, passions, and goals. Here are a few tips for finding YOUR people!
1. Put yourself out there
You can’t find your people when you’re hiding in your comfort zone. Put yourself out there! Join a group based on your interests, like a book club or an art group, or I love to golf so on the golf course works too.
Seek out opportunities to show your passions to the world, and find the people that gravitate towards the same things.
2. Stop searching for approval
When you’re looking for your people, don’t base connections on outside approval.
Be open and honest with yourself and others, and try not to care what others may think.
The people that see you, really see you, and recognize your authenticity are the ones that will ultimately support you in following your passions.
3. Become a connector
Become the connector in your social circle.
Introduce friends to each other, and watch what happens in your relationships.
New faces show up. New names, new networking opportunities, new chances to find your people.
When you start mixing it up in your social life, the chances of building your tribe start to skyrocket!
4. Explore online communities
The internet is home to every type of community you can imagine.
Put yourself out there doesn’t always have to mean in real life (though it probably should at some point!). Do some research on your interests and passions, and see what groups start to pop up in your searches.
5. Be patient.
If you don’t find your people right away, don’t worry.
Making these lasting connections takes time and effort. Be patient with the process, and keep your mind open to new things. Your tribe will find you in no time!
